Is there a politician with less spine than Senator Lindsay Graham? Just when you think he could grow a pair, he does another unthinkable flip-flop.

Here’s a video from three years ago that chronicles G’s journey from hating Trump, to loving Trump, to condemning Trump after January 6, then back to loving his golf partner again. President Obama said it best in his memoir: “Lindsey’s the guy who double-crosses everyone to save his own skin.”

His latest backtrack is about as egregious as it gets. Earlier this week, to no one’s surprise, the right-wing traitors on the SCOTUS ruled against Trump’s own ATF edict banning bump stocks that turn any firearm into a machine gun. Rather than use common sense on the side of safety, they nitpicked the ATF language and struck down a life-saving measure much to the delight of criminals and gun fetishists everywhere.

Immediately, Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) introduced the Banning Unlawful Machinegun Parts (BUMP) Act to ban the sale, manufacturing, and transfer of “a device that is primarily designed, or redesigned, to increase the rate of fire when attached to a semiautomatic firearm,” as well as devices intended to increase the rate of fire of a firearm. 

On Monday, Graham made clear that he would be blocking a unanimous consent request to expedite the bill’s journey to a floor vote. “I will oppose any legislative fix,” Graham told NBC News.  WTF?

In 2017, after the Las Vegas gunman managed to fire off more than 1,000 rounds in the span of about 10 minutes, Graham was among a cohort of GOP lawmakers who expressed openness to reviewing the legality of bump stocks. “I’m an AR-15 owner and the bump stock makes it truly an automatic weapon,” Graham said in a 2018 interview on proposed gun control legislation. “I’m willing to take that off the table.” Graham also expressed support for having the ATF decide what to do about bump stock regulation without the intervention of Congress. “I think once they make a decision then it would be our job to evaluate if it makes sense or not,” Graham told CNN in November of 2017. The ban eventually went into effect under the Trump administration.

So now he’s flipped again, and for the life of me, I can’t understand why. Is he doing it to show he’s a “macho” guy? Is it simply to kowtow to the gun lobby that owns what used to be the Republican party?

Whatever the twisted reasoning we know one thing. The Lady G is the worst kind of coward, traitor, sycophant, douchebag that ever walked the halls of Congress. MTG and Tommy Tubs are just plain stupid and evil. Lindsay is in a different league. He makes Ted Cruz seem human if that's even possible.

And for all the “sincere” outrage he served up when Zuckerberg and his social media accomplices last appeared before Lindsay in yet another round of “Social Media You Need to Do Better, or Else!”, would you bet that if/when the time comes to reign in their abuse, he’d actually support it? I damn sure wouldn’t put money on it.
