He was ready for MTG, but then there was Comer
As you may know, Dr. Anthony Fauci was hauled back before the Republican clown show this week. It featured the usual histrionics from the batshit crazy, dumb, anti-science, butchbody, bleach-blond Marge Greene. Dr. Fauci appeared almost quietly amused by this creature whose sole purpose is to generate press just like her orange fuhrer. He was unfazed by the shit flung his way by her and the likes of “Gym” Jordan, calmly debunking each conspiracy theory they pronounced. These assholes threw everything they could think of at him.
Here’s an exchange between the nonplused Fauci and Rep Michael Cloud:
“over the course of the pandemic, I ask you to give me a yes or no if you believe these measures were justified: business closures.”
Dr. Fauci: “when five thousand people were dying per day, yes.”
Cloud: “church closures.”
Fauci: “same thing.”
Cloud: “school closures.”
Fauci: “again.”
Cloud: “stay-at-home orders.”
Fauci: “these were important when we were trying to stop the tsunami of deaths that were occurring early on.”
As they are wont to do, these fools have total amnesia when it comes to events like this, or say January 6. I’m surprised they didn’t chastise Fauci for not implementing the Dear Leader’s prescription to inject bleach followed by a light enema.
But then James Comer, aka Comer Fudd (thanks for that handle, Jeff Tedrich!) offered up this insane statement on Jesse Watters's show:
It’s rhetoric like this that incites the cultists. As I wrote back in January, it only takes one of these whack jobs to act violently. It’s why this man who has devoted his life to public safety has to travel with five US Marshals. He reiterated once again this week that thanks to the likes of Marge and Comer, the threats to his life continue.
It’s why we must relegate every one of these dangerous buffoons to irrelevance come November. Good men should not have to live in fear for their safety or their families.
