I had the same reaction when I was first called a survivor. I was very uncomfortable with that label as it was my son who survived, not me. I don’t even have to suffer the unimaginable pain of losing someone, yet my life was changed in so many ways after almost loosing him. I now accept the label, though I still feel slight pangs of guilt when I think about those survivors who were less “lucky” than me! Stay strong my friend, I know Allison would be proud of what you have done with your grief!
